Here we are, the 2nd of September 2009, tomorrow we go back to school, to start the last two years of our education (at school at least). Its going to be a huge change for all of us, instead of around 10 subjects, we will be taking 3, 4 or at most 5. The actual amount of work involved will be at least double, if not triple what we did for our G.C.S.Es. So in my case (3 subjects + general studies) thats 4 X 3, so the equivalent to 12 gcse’s. Of course that calculation is total bullshit. Either way, we still only have to focus on several subjects, as opposed to bucketloads, surely this will cancel out some of the fact that the amount of work is sooooooooooo much more.

However, we are also losing quite a few friends, we always knew this would happen but I’m sure it will truly hit home when we get back to school. Jack and Staurt are going to college, we knew that ages ago, but thanks to bad results (and some exceedingly good results) we are also losing Joe ‘Gooner’ Wray and Ed Sims. Gooners going to college now and Ed going to the GAYrammer school. There are also plenty of other school mates that did not make the cut for 6th form in Waddesdon.

I can only really hope that we all still will stay in touch. And im sure there will be many occasions where we all meet up, be that for football, cinema, or getting pissed out of our heads. Sounds like a good day to me!

Anyway, here we go again, a new chapter in our lives and probably one of the most important.

We have finally reached the end of our compulsory education, a great achievement. We are effectively adults now if we want to be, though most of are actually staying to do sixth-form.

What is weird is that most of those who cried at our yr11 leavers assembly are actually staying on at Waddesdon. Yes we are losing a few people, out of our ‘crew’ Jack is leaving to go on a college course on public services, im not sure if tht means copper or toilet cleaner, only time will tell.

I guess it is all quite sad, certainly on the bus home we were all unusually quiet. On the bright side, we have got a fucking killer holiday coming up, bring on the booze, the laughs and the unconsciousness that usually follows (Jack) =)
